Winter Clothes Drive

Winters in Minnesota are harsh especially for those who have not been exposed to severe winters. It’s even harder for homeless and unsheltered individuals as well as new refugees.

Donated items are distributed through various means, including and not limited to the Plymouth PD.

We provide new or gently used blankets, coats, hats, mittens, scarves, socks, and disposable hand/foot warmers.

People who lose their housing may use their vehicle as a shelter to avoid living on the streets.  Our team provides gas cards to those individuals or families who may be experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity or those who are temporarily or newly homeless.

Meals for Homeless

We regularly donate nutritious meals to homeless shelters. To us a meal is more than fuel for the body! It’s about understanding the needs of local homeless shelters and then tailor the meals to suit unique dietary requirements based on their preferences and restrictions of the individuals or families they serve.

Providing meals for those in need gives us a way to serve our communities that we live in!

Emergency Financial Assistance

We provide limited rent, utilities and financials assistance for those who are facing eviction, behind rental payments or just looking for roof over the head for couple of days. If the need is longer than a few days, we strive to provide with longer stays by working with our partners but cannot guarantee availability.

Applying to Northwest Community Care is not a guarantee that we can help you financially, or that your application will be approved.
